Very sad new to hear of Liz’s passing. I was on committee with Liz at Nepean Evening View Club in the 1970’s. I also went to school with her first husband Gordon. Such a beautiful vibrant lady. Taken far too soon. Pam Kepert.
We are so very sad to have lost such a beautiful inspirational, vibrant, fun loving Lady.
We always Loved her Worldly stories & wisdom. Her energy, Laughter & joy lit up any room that she was in, we are truly Blessed to have know her and to call her our Dear Friend. We will cherish our Memories forever, deepest Condolences to Peter & all her families. 💛♥️💛♥️
I knew Lis for very many years – more than half a century. She was always so lovely – lovely to look at, with that gorgeous smile, and lovely to listen to, with her cheeky outlook on life. She lit up any room and any conversation. Thank you, Lis, for all that joy.
I came to know Lis when my husband (Trevor) spoke about her so often. We came to know her and Gordon very well through a mutual strong interest in historic cars and later through Ulysses Club – we even sold them a car once (which they loved). Her determination to participate fully in Life – even supporting the school visits to overseas countries – later led to the “Retirement” involvement in Historic Rail Journeys; it was during one of these that Gordon died suddenly. While grieving deeply, Lis was determined to keep living her own life, as he would have wanted. Maintaining her connection with Motorcycle Events led to her falling in love again, to our great joy, with Peter. Thank you, dear friend Lis, for bringing so much light into our lives.
So sorry to hear of Lis’s passing. I was not aware Liz was so very ill un till Lindsay message me on Facebook and I was shocked as Lis was so full of life. I first met Lis in 1974 at Playgroup in Glenbrook when all our children were so very young. We were then on VIEW committee for a couple of years together and kept in touch via friends. I also recall Liz’ s 60th which was a great night of celebration at Leonay Golf club, 16 years ago. My thoughts are with your beautiful children & Peter. A room always lit up when Lis walked into it.
