"Osmand, Margaret Ann (nee Bradbury)" Comments

Ruth Crossmansays:

Ann Osmand was loved by us all in Taree- through her Uniting Church and Presbyterian Church associations, the Orchid Society with her beloved husband Bill (her sweet boy), through her support and active membership of the Leprosy Mission, and her involvement and participation in the Cundletown Growth Group. She was a committed Christian, a woman who read and believed the bible with her heart, soul and mind. She loved her Saviour. Excellence was at the core of her being. Ann asked questions, contributed, and cared for all those around her. She was a loving neighbour to all, and will especially be missed by her friends ‘across the road’. Her committment to her marriage, her love of life, and her faith are the legacies she leaves with us. May you rejoice with your Saviour, dear Ann, you have fought the good fight, and you are now with Him in paradise.

Sonya McDonaldsays:

Ann was a beautiful friend and a strong and dedicated Christian . She remained so until she was called home and is now in the Lord’s arms free from the clutches of disease and earth’s struggles.
I look forward to seeing you in paradise one day Ann.
To Allan and family – May God grant you comfort and strength as you live without your beloved Ann, and may He grant you His peace – a deep peace beyond our understanding. A peace that the world cannot give.

Ugnesh & Diane Singh and Marge and Steve Rousesays:

Jarrod Parkinsonsays:

Such a beautiful, loving, caring, woman. Ann was a bright light in a sometimes dim world. I’d like to think I’m a bit of a green thumb, although living in Alice Springs in the Desert has its challenges garden wise. This I owe to Fardy(Bill) and Ann for teaching me growing up along with the books I was given. I’d never said Grace in our home, but on a visit, my mother and I were having dinner there and Ann said ” would you like to say grace, and on the spot I came up with something that has remained with me till this day. It was really nice to be able to appreciate a nice meal with family and be thankful for it. She was so strong and gentle at the same time, such a no nonsense type woman. When I lost my mother Ann came to the rescue and helped me through it. She was always there in times of need. Will forever be thankful to have had her in our lives. My son finally got to meet her recently and really bonded. Such a beautiful thing that he got to know her as I did growing up. I used to say to my mum “aww I Luffya!” After we lost her this is how Ann and I would end our conversations ever since. She would call me her darling boy and I’d call her my gorgeous Ann. Going to miss her so much. Now it’s just my son and I that will carry on The word luffya. I’ll always luffya Ann you gorgeous woman. Rest in Paradise

Lyn Dunsays:

Ann was a caring, thoughtful person. As Ruth mentioned, she loved to study the bible and she was a deep thinking member of the Wednesday Women’s Study Group while she attended the Uniting Church. She was pastoral to all members of that study group even after she left.
Ann brought a heart of compassion that was evident in the way she lived. She used her artistic talents to make items that could be sold in our coffee shop with the proceeds going to welfare. Her design in 2014 of a tea towel to celebrate the 6oth anniversary of the Taree Leprosy Mission means that her talents are still seen in many households across the area, and possibly NSW.
Ann enjoyed a good laugh and was ready with a smile to brighten your day.
Ann valued her family and would mention the good times she had in the West Wyalong/Lake Cargellico area. The support from her brother after the death of Bill was a great comfort for Ann.
My life is richer because Ann was part of it.
