Mud guts you where one of a kind, from when I was just a kids eating party pies at your place to the times we spent drive to Albury to umpire training. Then there was the times we spent drinking and having good times with Brooke and Ty. You will surely be missed by a lot of people, you will never be forgotten. To Brooke and her family you have a couple of Angels looking over you now.
Rest in Peace my Mate

Bob Finnertysays:

It was 1973, I was working in the back garden of Beechworth prison. This young kid walked past and called out “ Hi Baldy” I laughed and called him a cheeky prick, I was 24. I told him there’s a boxing gym opening at the old church hall. It would be run by the local bank manager, John Hare and I would like him to come learn boxing.
Him and his brother, John turned up with their dad. Long story short. We became friends and I got to meet his mum Bonnie and his sisters. The family became close and I loved them all. Some even visited me on my birthday and Xmas. We remained friends ever since. Sad that there’s only the girls of the family left. RIP Jeff. I won’t forget you. Bob

The day Jennifer called and told me and said you had passed I thought it couldn’t be true… I laugh because mum always said you were a ‘mad bugger’.. actually mum called uncle John that first but you are so much like uncle john, your voice… Cuz you will be so missed.. you will be with Johnny, ty, uncle john, auntie Bonnie, my mum and all our loved ones… That was the saddest day when you passed… Uncle john will be waiting for you with a can of beer… Rest well now wick xx
