Passed away peacefully on Monday the 28th of September 2026 at the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre, aged 75 years.
Dearly loved husband of Colleen.
Loved father of Pennie, Natasha, Emily, Kate, Lauren and Carl and their families.
Forever loved, greatly missed, never forgotten.
Funeral Details
A Requiem Mass will be conducted at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 20 Hartigan St, Thurgoona, on Tuesday the 6th of October 2026 commencing at 1.30pm.
Following the service the cortege will make it’s way to Glenmorus Memorial Gardens, 54 Glenmorus St, Glenroy NSW 2640.

As a fellow work colleague of 24yrs I offer my sincere condolences to Colleen and family for the passing of Laurie.
My deepest sympathy to all the family on Laurie’s passing. His life of “service to others” is a legacy that won’t be forgotten. I am sure I can say on behalf of many in our VRA family, it’s an example we all try to follow. Rest in Peace Laurie. You’ve done more than your share of heavy lifting.
Sincere condolences to Coleen and the family.
Laurie was instrumental in my entry into the ASNSW. A career that for me extended 34 years.
He will always be remembered by me as a quiet achiever that would never let a problem get the better of him. Even if it took weeks, he would always find a way!
RIP Laurie…. a loss to the community he served!
