Followed by a burial at The Wodonga Cemetery

We are sending our love, thoughts and prayers to Alexander, Lexie and the other members of Averil’s family. We have been friends of Averil for over forty years.
We have shared laughs, tears, tricks, joy, bible study groups, church and conventions.
We are comforted that she is in heaven with her saviour Jesus and her precious mum.

I did the same to you as I did to your Dad – I thought there was time.
I will miss you terribly.
The world is a darker place without your laugh, your intellect, and your wit.
Thank you for your love of my branch of the Walker family – even though our branch is right out in the twigs. Your pavlova lessons for my kids is spoken of often, and will always be remembered… especially the addition of cucumbers.
I will miss our conversations about God and Christ.
Some years ago – as a high-achieving academic – you were challenged to provide evidence to support your position that God did not exist.
At the end of your extensive research, you came to the conclusion that God did indeed exist, and He was your God. I pray that you are now in His loving care, free from the troubles of this world.
We always signed off our extended phone calls with “I love you”.

We are so sorry that we are unable to attend today as you gather to celebrate Avril’s life and say your final goodbye. Please know that our thoughts are with you all.

I’m sad to be saying farewell to Aunty Averil today. What a special lady she was! Always so kind, encouraging and ready with a laugh and an interesting observation. My thoughts and prayers are with her nearest and dearest today. Would have loved to have been there.
Sorry for the loss of Auntie Avril. She was always such a fun and arty auntie. Thank you for making it available to be watched online.
Thankful to God to have been friends with Averil for some 40 years. Remembering today how she believed belonging to, and walking with the Lord Jesus Christ by his Word, is what mattered most now and always. My loving greetings and sympathy to Alexander, Lexie, family & friends who read this on her departure to be with Him. Because of His grace, Bob.
